Dr. Tom Gabor, President
Dr. Gabor (Ph.D., Ohio State University, 1983), was a
Professor of Criminology at the University of Ottawa in Canada for 30 years. He specializes in the study of violent crime, crime
prevention, and justice issues, such as those of sentencing and
racial profiling. He has an emerging interest in terrorism,
organized crime, and white-collar crime. He has published over
125 works and has served as a consultant to the United Nations,
government agencies, law enforcement, correctional agencies,
prosecutors, attorneys, and publishers for more than 20 years.
His research has been covered widely by the media and earned him

Dr. Julian Roberts
Professor Roberts
(Ph.D., University of Toronto) is Professor and Assistant
Director of the Centre for Criminology, Oxford University in
England. He has published close to 200 scholarly works and is
currently Editor of the European Journal of Criminology. His
areas of specialization include sentencing, public opinion about
crime and justice, crime victims and the justice system, and
restorative justice. Recent books include: Understanding
Public Attitudes to Criminal Justice and Punishing

Dr. Gabriel Weimann
Dr. Weimann (Ph.D.,
Hebrew University) is a Full Professor of Communications at the
University of Haifa in Israel. He has won numerous awards,
including a Fullbright Fellowship. He is an author of over 125
works and specializes in the study of the media and its impact,
as well as public opinion research. He is especially known for
his work on the use of the media and internet by terrorist
groups.

Dr. Ronald-Frans Melchers
Dr. Melchers (Ph.D., Aix
Marseilles II, France) is a Professor of Criminology at the
University of Ottawa in Canada where, for 25 years, he has
specialized in research methods, statistics, evaluation, and
public policy analysis. His research has focused on issues such
as use and misuse of criminal justice statistics, racial
profiling, crime mapping, expert and scientific evidence in the
courts, the treatment of aboriginal offenders, public safety
surveys, measuring organized crime and policing in Canada’s
North.

Mr. Charlie Rabie
Mr. Rabie (M.S.,
Concordia University, Montreal) currently teaches
Business Strategy at Tufts University in Boston. He has
enjoyed a 30-year career in the high-technology field. He
served as Senior Vice President of Products for Aspect
Communications, managed 300 employees, and clients such as
American Express, Sony, Siemens, and Verizon. He was Operations
Manager for an engineering firm which upgraded the NORAD early
warning system. He is on the Board of Directors of GardaWorld
USA, a security company with 50,000 employees. Also, he founded
a successful startup in Canada that merged with a US company and
went public on NASDAQ in 1993.

Dr. Daniel H. Antonowicz
Dr. Antonowicz (Ph.D.
Psychology, Carleton University) is Associate Professor of
Criminology, Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Ontario.
He has worked as a researcher for the Dept. of Justice Canada
and the Correctional Service of Canada. His clinical experience
includes the assessment and treatment of adult offenders. He has
conducted research on offender rehabilitation, sentencing, and
white-collar crime. He is the author of a number of books and
other publications on the rehabilitation of offenders by
changing their thinking and reasoning processes. He has also
co-authored a book on road rage entitled Antisocial Drivers.
